Telemedicine

Our doctors are very accustomed to treating veterinary patients from afar, having worked for years with clients in isolated northern communities. In the era of COVID 19, the need to provide veterinary care remotely via telecommunication or other technology has become all the more pressing.

We are happy to perform consultations via Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime to address health concerns where feasible for patients unable to attend the hospital. Even consultation by telephone or email is often sufficient to address certain medical issues. Please contact us to discuss whether consultation via telemedicine might be appropriate for you and your pet.

Remote Veterinary Medicine

Remote Veterinary Medicine

We are very proud to be veterinary services providers to our partners in the north. For years, our staff has made treks to remote communities such as Churchill, Manitoba, Gillam, Manitoba, and Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. We take tremendous pride in the trust that pet owners from far-off locales place in us as their health care providers. The warmth and gratitude from these community members keeps us coming back again and again; that and perhaps the chance to get face to face with a real, live Manitoba polar bear!

As a veterinary team, we understand what a valuable resource veterinary medicine is and we appreciate the fact that not everyone has easy access to it. As such we are always delighted to partner with local rescue and animal welfare groups to bring subsidized veterinary care to underserved communities in the province. Partnerships with organizations like Save a Dog Network, Community Veterinary Outreach, the Winnipeg Humane Society and Winnipeg Animal Services allow us to offer basic veterinary care to pet owners who might not otherwise be able to access it. Whenever and wherever possible, we strive to ensure that every pet owner gets the care and treatment that their animal needs.
